Since 2012, numerous enhancements have been made to enhance the guest experience while preserving the historic architectural elements, including the installation of hundreds of HD televisions throughout the property and new video display boards in the Paddock, as well as the enhancement and expansion of the Belmont Cafe and the Top of the Stretch picnic area. Last year, $5 million in upgrades to the transit rotunda on the west end of the Grandstand, as well as new rail station platforms, increased the Belmont Station train capacity from eight to ten cars and better egress from the track on important racing days, were welcomed by guests.
